You
could employ a marketing manager. In certain circumstances, this will be the best
option
to take. However there are again downsides you
need to be aware of.
- Costs- You need to consider
the costs involved to employ a good marketing manager.
This will
include recruitment costs, salary,
any other employment
benefits (Car, pensions, bonuses etc)
and training. A good
marketing manager can demand a very
high package. This ignores the additional costs,
if the employee
is ill or you have problems with them.
It is also important to remember that if you employ
someone,
you need to be confident of a long
term requirement,
within your business, for their employment.
- Time- You need to take
into account the time it will take for
you and your team to
recruit,
and train
the individual.
- As with anybody you employ you will never
be sure how well they will fit
in and the quality of their
work, often until it is too late.
